REACH helps us be more awesome!

At AAHS we do REACH.  REACH is an amazing program developed by Chad Harlander at Hutchinson High School.  You can learn everything you would ever want to know about the REACH program HERE.  We have taken this great program that has helped hundreds of at-risk students and adapted it for our school.  

As a public school, our purpose is to help young people succeed academically.  But, as we all know, the complexities of life can sometimes get in the way.  REACH provides us with a way to identify and address the issues that can prevent us from being successful while we are at school.  It also helps us develop the relationships that we need to help us through hard times.

Every morning from 8:00-8:50 we work through our REACH curriculum in our advisories.  Though new members of our community are often confused as to why we are always "talking about our feelings", REACH has become invaluable to the health of our community.  REACH ROCKS!
